Parish of St Mary of Bethany Annual Parochial Church Meeting
Sunday 11th May 2025 during the 10.30am Sunday Worship
Every parish must hold an annual parochial church meeting, often referred to simply as the 'APCM'. This APCM will be looking at the year of 2024.
This annual meeting, which is open to all, reports on changes to the electoral roll, parish activities and financial matters. Every three years, it is also the occasion when new members to the PCC and to Deanery Synods are elected.
Those who have elected to join on our Electoral Roll (official church membership list) will have the opportunity to vote on certain matters discussed.
APCM report
There will be a collection of reports prepared beforehand, covering church life in 2024 including an update on our youth and children’s work, a look at our financial review, reports from our Vicar, Churchwardens, Safeguarding Officers, Deanery Synod and Churches Together in Woking team, CAMEO team, welcoming team, stewarding team and buildings team.
The report will be available here, once prepared, so we will all have time to read it ahead of the meeting.
An unabridged version will be emailed to our church members mailing list - to be added to this list you can sign up to our church system (ChurchSuite).
Electoral Roll
The electoral roll is now closed until after the APCM.
The electoral roll is our register of members who can vote at the APCM and stand for election to the PCC. If you are 16 years old or over and a regular worshipper at St Mary of Bethany, you should add your name. Every six years everyone must come off and re-apply, which falls on this year.
To join or re-join the electoral roll after the APCM, please complete this form via ChurchSuite.
The official form, that is available in Church, can be viewed here.
